Our wireless network covers about 54 sq. miles over Boston and 45 sq. miles over the Merrimack Valley (see below). We blanket the city by broadcasting from many locations depicted in the map on the right. In fact, we have more access points broadcasting our bandwidth over Boston than any of our competition.
Unlicensed Frequencies: 5.8 - 5.3 - 2.4 - 900
USAi.net designed the network using different frequencies in order to meet the needs of many customers. Some customers, like the Boston Main Streets WiFi initiative require 2.4 Ghz "WiFi" coverage. Some of our customers like the Boston Public Library require T1 like speeds but need to penetrate through a grove of trees at their branch locations. Since 2.4 and 5.8 do not perform well in wooded areas, we developed a 900 Mhz network for just such "landscape" issues. For customers requiring wireless T3 equivalent we use 5.3 - 5.8 or a licensed radio system.
USAi.net can also design and install licensed wireless links with speeds from 45 Mb to Gig-E. If your business, building development, or business park has been plagued by telecom outages, or installs have been pushed back over and over, then stop allowing the telco to hold your business back: adding a wireless link could be the answer.
USAi.net actually started out in the Merrimack Valley in northeastern MA in 1997. We maintain offices, Network Operations Center, colocation and D.R. seating facility in Haverhill, MA.
Our Merrimack Valley wireless network covers about 45 sq. miles. We have many happy customers who have not seen a single outage in years.
